This country property provides a unique setting to teach adults and children about hobby chicken farming and the rich history of working family farms. Aissa and Hank enjoy touring guests and allowing them to lend a hand feeding the chickens, picking fruit or just spreading a blanket out for a family picnic.  With many vintage items available guest often spend time telling stories passed down from family and friends about their own personal experiences.

Games, square dancing or weiner roasts are always a fun way to spend the afternoon after a short nap in the loft or hammock in the yard.

The 1912 Barn has been a special feature venue on PBS Illinois stories, the Decatur Magazine, and other midwest publications.
